How a Busy Mom of 4 Kids gets her workout in

A Day in the life of a Mom, right?

Aren’t you just exhausted watching this circus? But how cute are they?

Can you relate, though? You just want to get your workout in, but the kids have other plans for you?

So what do you do? You have 2 options:

1. You MAKE it work, get them involved (remember, you are their IDOL, they do as you do. They are always watching!). Set an example for them.

2. Schedule your workout time for when your kids are sleeping (first thing AM, nap time or when they go to bed).

WHICH ONE DO YOU FALL IN?

Personally, I ping pong between the 2. 98% of the time, I do my workouts with my husband, first thing in the AM to get them out of the way, and to not have the chaos of kids making our 30 minute workouts any longer than it needs to be.

But the other 2% of the time, I have to do it while 2 of the 4 are usually under my feet. It is what it is.

What never is NOT an option, is for me to take time for myself. This is a PRIORITY! I make this a PRIORITY in my life! Why? First of all, IT’S ONLY 30 MINUTES!!!! And I feel so much better knowing I worked out. It sets the tone for my day. It programs my eating patterns WAY better, than if I skipped or stayed in bed. Trust me, I know!

I know by taking just 30 minutes a day, will make me a FAR better person to deal with that day! Even if it means I have to readjust my evening plans, to be sure I get to bed in good time, to gear up for that 5am alarm (or earlier, as you never know who’s going to wake up in the middle of the night).

When will you make the time for yourself? You want change right? You want to FINALLY shed that baby weight, right? Well, we both know that’s not going to happen over night. I WISH!!

When will you stop using “I’m breastfeeding”? “I have 1, 2 or 3 kids”, “I work full time”, “I’m too tired”, “I’m not fit like you”, “I don’t have any equipment at home”, “I’m not motivated”. When will you STOP saying these things to yourself and start doing something?

If you are a breastfeeding mom or new mom and are ready to make the effort and commit to yourself, fill out the application below and let's do this together!
